Varshini is a good speaker and as a part of her High school's Model United Nations (MUN)
program. She has participated in many High School and college conferences in California, Arizona,
East Coast and other neighboring states and won several awards and certificates. She makes a
difference in sick and elderly Citizens lives by volunteering at retirement and old age homes
through her Western music performances.
Amrithavarshini’s dream is to propagate and popularize the Carnatic music on the keyboard in
India as well as the world music scene along with several other western instruments in the same
theme. She is working very hard to pursue her dreems into reality.
In summer of 2005 Varshini was initiated into Lalgudi School of music to further
advance and master her music performance skills in Carnatic Music.
Cleveland Aradhana, and so forth. She also participated in several World music Festivals around
the country and was a special invitee at the A.R. Rahman’s Los Angeles show at Shrine
Auditorium. She has performed in many Music Albums, dance and music productions as soloist as
well as accompanist. Varshini performed for several fund raising events for many nonprofit
organizations such as Udhavum Karangal, ASHA-LA for under privileged children’s education in
India, SPICMACAY, Tamil Rehabilitation Organization (TRO) for Tsunami Disaster Relief, and
Corazon de Vida Foundation for orphans in Baja, to support good cause.
Amrithavarshini is also a Carnatic Singer and gets her vocal training under the tutelage of her
Mother Rose Muralikrishnan, a renowned Carnatic vocalist and teacher who studied under world
renowned Late Dr. M.L. Vasanthakumari. Varshini is well versed in Western singing and bagged
over 100 awards, prizes, and certificates to add to her merits. She plays the Sarasvathi veena, as well
as the western Piano, and French Horn. She has composed music scores for several musical events.
16 year old teen ager Amrithavarshini is making a revolution
around the world by popularizing the Carnatic music on the
Electronic Keyboard. Amrithavarshini is a first ever child prodigy to perform the Carnatic Music on the Electronic keyboard and she is a high achieving Cerritos High school student, California, USA.
Varshini started playing the instrument under the tutelage of her
Father and Guru Shri N. Muralikrishnan a Vina and Keyboard
Maestro at the tender age of two. Playing Carnatic Music on the
Keyboard, a concept conceived and stylized by N. Muralikrishnan
25 years ago under the model "Changing Trends
without Changing Traditional Values”, has now become a hot
pick around the world among the youngsters in the field of Carnatic music lately.
She has performed at several prestigious halls such as
Carpenter's performing Arts center of Long Beach, Cerritos
Performing Arts Center, of Cerritos, Bovard Auditorium of USC,
Getty Museum Center of Los Angeles, Schoenberg Hall of UCLA
